SALIENT FEATURES OF THE HOSPITAL

This Hospital has been conceived in furtherance of an important humanitarian objective of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust to harness the state-of-the-art medical science to serve all sections of the population, particularly the very indigent.

The Institute is a modern Multi-Super Speciality Hospital providing the best medical care. It is unique, in that, it aims to serve the sick and ailing with utmost dedication and commitment. It comes as hope to the distraught and as life to the helpless. It is a saga of love and another expression of the Divine kindness of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

It will be a blend of aesthetic appeal, functional effectiveness, practical efficiency, medical excellence and spiritual sublimity.

This Institute will provide all services, including diagnostic, medical, pre-operative, surgical and post-operative, fully free and at no cost to the patient or his/her family.

This is the second such major project to be undertaken by Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, the first one being in Puttaparthy, where Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, inaugurated in 1991 provides the latest available standards of medical and surgical care in Cardiology, Urology/Nephrology and Ophthalmology.

The Institute at Whilefield will provide the state-of-the-art medical care in the field of Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Neurology and Neuro Surgery. The Institute is also equipped with the latest equipment in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Blood Bank and Laboratory services.

This 333 bedded hospital, which includes 120 Intensive Care beds, with all its services, is spread over a sprawling 3,50,000 sq. feet floor area. The hospital is a fully residential institute with its own staff quarters and canteens for staff and visitors.

The Institute is a model in eco-friendliness, with no adverse effect on the environment whatsoever. It will also provide post-graduate training for physicians and surgeons soon. The Institute aims to achieve the highest academic and teaching standards in the field of medical sciences.
